Chocolate or Vanilla? Vanilla. I know, bet I surprised you! I’m not a huge fan of chocolate, although it there’s caramel with it, that’s different.
Zoo or Museum? Museum (unless my 15-month-old grandson is with me, then the zoo)
Makeup or Au Naturale? Au Naturale (My author friend Robyn Peterman has tried to teach me to use makeup more—even showing me how and plucking the hell out of my eyebrows!–but more often than not, I’m not wearing makeup.)
Call or Text? Text. I really don’t like talking on the phone. So a text or e-mail usually comes before a phone call. And my phone usually has the ringer off.
Facebook or Twitter? Facebook (I write too long for Twitter)
Dancer or Wallflower? Wallflower (I’m a klutz and totally uncoordinated)
Heels or Boots? Boots (with a short heel)
Mexican or Italian Food? Italian because I love trying so many different dishes. I’m less adventurous with Mexican (usually just ordering a cheese enchilada and Spanish rice. But a reader invited me to her home in San Jose in May and treated me to homemade Carne Asada, so I’ve started ordering that more often when I go out to a Mexican restaurant.
Morning or Night? Night. I used to be a morning person, but mornings start later now that I’m staying up until (at least) 2 a.m. most nights.
Cake or Ice cream? They come separate? Um, sorry. No can separate them.
Trains or Planes? Trains! OMGosh, hubby and I just took the most amazing train trip from Chicago to Emeryville, Calif., in late August. (We also took a train from Cincinnati to Chicago, but that was less-than-amazing. Lol) But the sleeper bedroom on the California Zephyr was awesome. I loved the whole experience of it! Slower pace, fewer hassles, and gorgeous scenery. Next best thing to a road trip, but trains can take you places roads can’t, which is awesome.
Planner or Pantser? Pantser all the way! My Masters just laugh and do the opposite of anything I ever plan for them, so I’ve learned not to bother. I just sit and wait for them to share their stories. Sometimes, as with Marc D’Alessio, it takes a while!

I didn’t want to hold back anymore. I wanted her to be mine again, body and soul. Cradling the back of her head, I drew her mouth toward mine and kissed her with all the desire I’d kept bottled up for all those weeks. Her lips were soft against mine but as eager and passionate as I slid my tongue into her mouth to find hers. When she sighed into my mouth, I couldn’t wait anymore.
My hands clawed at the zipper down the back of her dress, but it got stuck an inch from the top. Aching to be inside her, I tore the two halves of the dress apart, ruining the zipper and the dress.
“Tristan, my dress!” she cried as I pulled it from her body.
“I don’t care. I’ll buy you ten dresses just like it,” I panted as I unhooked her bra and slid the first strap over her shoulder. “Same thing with the bra. And if these panties don’t come off easy, I’m going to rip through them too.”
Nina’s fingers tore through my shirt buttons until it hung open, and I quickly shrugged out of it. She was as desperate as I was to be out of those damn clothes. In seconds, she had my belt off and my pants and boxer briefs off my legs, and I had her pushed up against the wall.
As I lifted her off the ground to wrap her legs around my waist, I pressed my forehead to hers and rasped, “I hope you weren’t expecting something slow and gentle. I can give you that, but tonight I don’t want to wait. I need to be inside you, Nina.”
Moaning, she pulled me close, but just then I remembered her sore ribs. Pulling back, I said, “I forgot about what the doctor said. Maybe we should go easy this time.”
She dug her heels into my lower back and pulled my mouth to hers in a deep kiss. Her voice husky, she groaned, “Please, Tristan. I’m not a china doll. I’ll tell you if something hurts.”
I gently slid just the head of my cock into her, still worried I might hurt her if I didn’t take it slow. My body was in agony wanting to bury myself inside her, but I didn’t want to risk bruising those already sore ribs. I could give her gentle, even if every part of me wanted much more.

Biggest Moment with Sahara: One of my biggest moments with Sahara was at James and Lidia’s wedding back in 2003 is one of many, many favorite moments. Emily got pulled onto the dance floor, leaving just Sahara and I sitting together at our table. She asked me if I wanted to dance and my heart started pounding. Now I’d known the girl since she was born. She always flirted with me. She always made it known that she was into me. And I always played it cool. But that night, I couldn’t keep it together. It was as if my feelings for her refused to be locked down anymore. When we danced and she gazed up at me, I had to restrain myself from kissing her. I almost told her I loved her for the very first time after she performed a ‘Crazy In Love’ routine for me. I almost did a lot of things that night. But I lost my nerve. I told myself that I had time to figure it out, to make it perfect. Especially since there were so many people around including a random guy who had followed her around the whole night after she danced with him once. So I decided to wait. And two weeks later, I was in a coma. I never got a chance to tell her anything. And when I woke up from the coma, she was gone. That’s when I realized life was short. And I needed to man-up.
The Moment You Fell For Sahara: To tell you the truth, each day of my life, from childhood to adulthood, I have fallen a little more in love with Sahara. But even before I was ready to admit it at James and Lidia’s wedding, we ran into each other at my parent’s house, my childhood home, in the hallway. It was Thanksgiving Break 2002 and she was about to go somewhere and I felt it. Everything I’d felt up to that point clicked into place and I knew that somewhere along the lines, I’d fallen for my little sister’s best friend.
